To put it clearly and simply: follow Christ.⠀

These words are so needed today, not just in our culture, but in the church. It is so easy to be swayed by philosophies that sound good, but aren’t really biblical. It’s so easy to put our faith in people and not trust in God’s promises. It’s so easy to come up with our own ideas of what God would think or how He would react in a certain situation that aren’t accurate.⠀

How do we avoid this? By reading and studying the Bible – God’s written Word to us. It’s how we get to know our God and learn to follow Him. 🖤⠀

I’m not trying to guilt anyone, but I want to ask: If you are a professing Christian and are not in the Word regularly, why not? If you are a professing Christian and you have not studied the Bible – or even just one book in the Bible – why not? If you are reading this on a computer or phone, you have so many resources available to you right at your finger tips! What are you waiting for??⠀

SO MUCH goodness is waiting for you in the pages of the Bible!⠀

Christians are meant to be followers of Jesus. But, if we are not in His Word, trusting what He says, and applying the Truth to our lives, then what are we really following? The Bible is foundational to our faith, so if we aren’t in the Word, what foundation are we really building our lives upon?⠀

Again, these questions are not meant to guilt anyone, but to challenge those of you who aren’t in the Word to ask yourselves why and dive in deep. There is so much grace for you in Christ! Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit as you read and study. Again, so much goodness awaits you in the pages of His Word!⠀
