Psalm 73:26 reflections

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” -Psalm 73:26 ESV

I stumbled upon this verse the other day and thought how perfect a verse for this past year of hardship, sickness, unrest, chaos, and confusion. This year was truly one of testing our faith. As we look back on this year, let’s acknowledge the hard. Weep if you need to. But as we mourn the losses, let’s remember to rejoice. In Christ, there are always reasons to rejoice! And today, as I reflect on Psalm 73:26, I praise God that He is the strength of my heart and truly all I need.

How has God grown and stretched your faith this year for the better? How will you carry that into the new year?
