Ephesians 2:4-5

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved” -Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV

Without faith in Christ, we are all dead in our sins. Each and every one of us are children of wrath. BUT GOD, in His great and rich mercy, deeply loves us, because He alone is good. Out of His great love for us, God the Father sent His perfect and only Son to die the death we deserved and be raised from the dead so that we too could be raised to new, eternal life in Christ!

It is by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone that we become children of God and receive the Holy Spirit, who is the seal and guarantee of our inheritance of eternal life in Christ. When we repent of our sins and accept Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf – His amazing gift of grace – though we still sin, we are declared “not guilty” in the eyes of our Creator and perfect Judge.

Friends, we will either be children of God or children of wrath. We will either receive mercy or judgment. God is just in both His mercy and judgment. If you have not put your faith in Christ, accept Jesus’ gift of grace. It’s because of His great love that you are offered this gift. It is not based on your perception of how good you are or have been throughout your life. None of us are enough. But, Jesus loves anyway. Run to Him. He is enough.
