I love hand lettering in Procreate, but it always frustrated me that there was not a great grid or ruler system like in Adobe Illustrator. So, I created some for myself and I’m now sharing them with you with the Procreate Grid Pack!
About the Grids
This Procreate grid pack contains five grids (PNG files), formatted for five common canvas sizes: 5×5″, 5×7″, 8×10″, 8.5×11″ and 11×14″. Each grid has a transparent background, so the color you set your canvas background will always show through.
Each grid has inch markers and each inch is divided into fourths and eighths, so you can be very precise if you want specific margins, need your artwork to be a specific height or width, and overall, will help you keep your lettering in straight lines and centered on the page.
If you have any more questions and/or you’d like to to see how I use these grids in Procreate, Click HERE to watch my tutorial.
*Upon purchase you are agreeing to not redistribute, resell, claim these brushes as your own. Nor will you use them for any other reason than their intended use.

I created these grids to automatically fit the following canvas sizes and I suggest creating custom canvases in Procreate to these dimensions for best use:
- 5×5″: 1500x1500px
- 5×7″: 1500x2100px
- 8×10″: 2400x3000px
- 8.5×11″: 2550x3300px
- 11×14″: 4200x3300px
- All set to 300 dpi
Setting your Procreate canvases to the above dimensions will not only allow each grid to upload properly to your Procreate projects, but they are also the dimensions most printers will recommend for the clearest, highest quality printing.
If you like working in a size that’s not offered in this pack, you can still use these grids as guides, but you will have to adjust the grids to whatever size your canvas is and the ruler markings won’t be exact.
When printing your artwork and/or grids, make sure your printer is set to print at 100%. Pay close attention to margins.
If your printer doesn’t allow you to print to the edge of the page, you may experience trouble printing artwork and grids in exact measurements. Please be aware of your printers capabilities before purchasing these grids if you intend to print them.
*Please note, these grids are best used digitally in Procreate. They are made to help you align and create digital artwork with specific measurements.
If one or all of your brushes don’t work, please contact me, so I can help you get them properly uploaded to your iPad. No refunds on digital sales.
